Branding Your Help Center

Customize your Helpdesky help center with this illustrated guide to logos, favicons, social share images, themes, hero text, and colors.

Make your help center look and feel like part of your brand. Follow these steps to find the branding controls, upload your assets, and customize the appearance of your public pages.

Branding Options

Open your dashboard and select Branding in the top navigation. This page contains your logo, favicon, social share image, theme, layout, hero text, and colors. The Preview panel on the right shows an example of your branding.

Open Branding from the top navigation. The Preview panel appears alongside the controls.

  1. Find the Company Logo card at the top of the Branding page.
  2. Choose Upload, then Replace Logo if a logo is already set. You can also use the Image URL option.
  3. Choose your company logo. The page recommends a PNG or SVG with a transparent background, up to 5 MB.

When set, the logo replaces your helpdesk name in the header of your public help pages.

Favicon

In the Favicon card directly below Company Logo, choose Upload and then Replace Favicon if one is already set. You can also use Image URL.

The favicon is the small icon shown in browser tabs. The page recommends a 32×32 or 64×64 PNG; ICO and SVG are also supported.

The logo and favicon controls appear together near the top of Branding.

Social Share Image

Find the Social share image card and click Upload image. Choose a 1200×630 PNG or JPG, up to 5 MB.

This image appears in the preview card when someone shares a link to your help center on X, LinkedIn, Slack, or iMessage. It is used across your home page, articles, categories, and authors. Without an uploaded image, the Helpdesky default image is used.

Theme

In the Theme card, choose Light or Dark for your public help center pages.

Choose the light or dark appearance for public help center pages.

Below it, Template Layout controls the page structure. The available layouts are Default (hero, search, and card grid), Docs (top bar, left navigation, and on-page table of contents), and Sidebar (docs-style with navigation).

Hero Section

Scroll to Hero Text and edit these fields:

  • Heading — the main heading, such as “How can we help?”
  • Subtitle — supporting text below the heading.

Edit the Heading and Subtitle in Hero Text.

The Home article setting above Hero Text can redirect visitors from your help center root to a published article. If you have selected a home article, visitors land on that article instead of the default home page.

Colors

Scroll to Colors to adjust the background, primary, text, surface, and button text colors. Click a color swatch or enter a color value in the adjacent field. Fields marked as optional can be left empty to use the theme defaults.

Use the individual color fields to match your brand.

Further down, Border Radius controls the roundness of cards, inputs, and buttons. Accent Gradient supplies the start and end colors used for numbered heading blocks and ordered list markers when enhanced styling is enabled.

For more appearance options, see Themes, Colors, and Appearance.

Website URL

Your main website URL is configured in Settings. It gives visitors a route from your help center back to your main website.

Live Preview

Use the Preview panel on the Branding page as you work. Save your changes, then choose View Helpdesk in the top navigation to check the actual public pages, including the header, article layout, and any home article redirect.

These screenshots show the Helpdesky help center’s own branding. Your logo, colors, and selected layout may differ.

Large logo files may affect page load times. Keep your logo file under 500 KB where possible.
