Uploading Images

How to add images to articles, supported formats, and how Cloudflare R2 storage works.

Add images to your articles to make them more visual and easier to follow. Helpdesky stores all uploaded images on Cloudflare R2 for fast, reliable delivery.

How to Upload

In Visual Mode

  1. Open an article from Help Center > Articles, select Visual, and place the cursor where the image belongs.
  2. Click the Image button (the picture icon) in the formatting toolbar.
  3. In the Insert Image dialog, select Upload. Click Click or drag an image here to choose a file, or drag an image into that area.
  4. After the upload, check the image’s position in your article and save your changes.

Using an Existing Image URL

If your image is already hosted, open the same Insert Image dialog and choose URL. Paste the direct image URL, click Insert, and save your article.

Supported Formats

Helpdesky accepts the following image formats:

  • PNG — best for screenshots and images with text
  • JPG / JPEG — best for photographs and complex images
  • WebP — modern format with excellent compression
  • GIF — supports animated images

Image Storage

All images are stored on Cloudflare R2, a global object storage network. This means:

  • Fast loading times worldwide
  • No bandwidth limits on image delivery
  • Images persist even if you edit or move the article

Images uploaded through the editor are automatically optimized for web delivery. You do not need to compress them before uploading.

Branding Images

You can also upload images for your helpdesk branding:

  • Company Logo — displayed in the help center header
  • Favicon — the small icon shown in browser tabs

Open Branding from the dashboard navigation to upload these assets. See Branding Your Help Center for screenshots of those controls.

Deleting an article does not automatically remove its uploaded images from storage. The images remain available at their URLs.
